Korinkkot (Before Time)
Korinkkot (lit: time before), also called the Mythic Era, or the Nikot, is an unconfirmed time period of creation. Depending on who's gods one follows, that or those god or gods created the world during this time and walked the Earth. NightClan lorekeepers agree that this time period was most likely the period before and up to the founding of the Kurr-Kirrno. How the Kurr-Kirrno were founded is still a mystery, and no lorekeeper agrees on the specifics, but the most popular theory is that it was formed by lost cats from the city for mutual protection. However, some believe they came from cougars and evolved into smaller forms to use less resources. No matter how it was founded, everyone agrees that the Kurr-Kirno existed.
Korikurr (Era of the Sun Colony)
Korikurr (lit: sun time) is the era that the Valley cats look upon with most reverence and nostalgia. It is the only era without a given nickname. During this time, the Kurr-Kirrno was widespread, occupying the nearby cave system to the alleys of the city. Many small camps were made, but the "capital" was located on a small island in the middle of the valley. The Kurr-Kirrno was founded by Kotorrimita, a she-cat whose fur gleamed silver like the moon. Lorekeepers believe she is the basis for Krrami, one of CrystalClan's gods. Despite the large territory, the cats lived in harmony, worshiping a long-forgotten pantheon of gods, thought to be the ancestor of StormClan's religion.
Xohihinomni (Preyless Era)
Xohihinomni (lit: no prey to eat), the Time of Starving, or the Xohini, is a grim time in the Valley's history. A dip in the jet stream caused the formation of the greatest storm the cats had ever seen. Knowledge gained from friendly kittypets said the storm concerned the humans as well, that the picture box showed clouds that could tear down trees. This kept the Kurr-Kirrno cats in a state of fear, until it happened. Overnight, snow was dumped on the Valley, coating their camps and killing their prey. If the starvation didn't kill, the frostbite and hypothermia did. Four groups formed out of this tragedy. One group fled to live with the humans. They were scared of death, and servitude was the best option they had. Prouder, tougher cats left the Valley entirely, using kittypet knowledge to run away from the storm. Attached to the land, but scared, another group fled into the crystal caves, praying to their gods to make the death stop. The ones left behind suffered greatly, barely making it through the winter.
Korikirrnoko (Era of Tribes)
Korikirrnoko (lit: many colony time), the Great Splitting, or Kokono, came from the separation of the clans. The only clans in the Valley were NightClan and CrystalClan, and they barely made contact with each other. In times of great hardship, however, they worked together. One notable event happened, prophecised by the kittypets of the Xohihinomni. A giant cloud touched down from the sky, whirling through the Valley. Although lasting and damaging little, it made its mark to CrystalClan, who withdrew from the world further, being vindicated in their beliefs and not wanting to associated with the atheistic NightClan.
Present Era
With the return of StormClan and the emergence of VineClan, CrystalClan and NightClan historians argue that a new era has been reached. However, there is no concrete names to describe it. Some argue that the Korikirrnoko is still the current era.
